Whodunit: my latest guide to the world of crime

My latest book arrived in the mail today: Whodunit: A Guide to Crime, Suspense & Spy Fiction edited by H. R. F. Keating. Can you believe it only cost me 99 cents through eBay, plus postage? It was published in 1982 and is in perfect condition.

I even found a newspaper clipping from 1953 inside, with B&W photographs of mystery authors, including Gladys Mitchell (creator of the Mrs Bradley series).

The book is filled with photographs, book cover art, biographies, recommended books, an analysis of the 11 sub-genres of mystery fiction, and 10 articles by authors such as Patricia Highsmith, P. D. James and Gregory Mcdonald on how they write their books.

Still no mention of Pamela Branch, though...
