This is an amazing cover! I'm not familiar with this book or Disney as an author, but I am mightily impressed with the jacket. (Was this a recent score in the ACT?) Thanks for sharing the image.

Glad you liked the cover, Gavin... it's a favouite of mine, too. And yes, it's a Canberra find - $7 in a used book store.

I'm not very familiar with Disney either. I'd heard of her, but never read any of her work or actually even seen any of her books. I think she was big in the US, but not so much in the rest of the world. Hopefully 'The Straw Man' turns out to be as good a read as the cover!

:-) CC, that was indeed a nice find for $7 - worth it for the jacket alone, and a true bargain if the book is a good read. (I'll look forward to a review at some future stage...!)

A great cover for a great book. I'm a great fan of Disney, and this one is among her best.

The French cover if you're interested:

I fail to see what Charlton Heston had to do with this book, but I guess the publisher had his reasons.
